Noel Levine

Co-Founder & Director of Technology

Two numbers explain why ETLMaestro exists. 20 years working with Microsoft ETL. 50+ projects across different organizations. Noel has built business intelligence systems on the Microsoft data stack across that whole run: SQL Server first, then Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions, Fabric, and Power BI (certified), with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, PowerApps, Tableau, and Alteryx along the way.

He has worked as an independent data engineer since 2006, on the Microsoft stack from SQL Server onward and on Azure since its early days, designing and running data platforms for clients rather than advising from a slide deck. ETLMaestro is the third version of a framework he has been refining across that work: the first built for a critical infrastructure client, the second generalized as ChillETL and listed on the Azure Marketplace, the third rebuilt as the product on this site. Engineers who've worked beside him describe the results in the terms we'd pick ourselves: reliable, structured, maintainable ADF environments that don't just move data but survive handoffs.

He holds an engineering degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Michigan Ross. At ETLMaestro he owns the architecture and the product, and runs every demo himself. The design creed on the About page is his: anyone who understands data architecture should be able to pick this up instantly.
